InCREDIBLE Wedding Supplier Awards

Well the 14th October is the closing date for voting and I can't say how delighted and priviledged I have been to make it to the finals of these awards.   With over 400 nominees to get down to the final 3 in my category "Best On the Day Support" really is an honour.  These awards have been launched by Ice The Cake who do a tremendous job in finding and bringing together the best suppliers in the industry.   This allows couples who are getting married to make their choices with the peace of mind that the suppliers found here are only of the very highest standard.

On the 27th November 2011, we will find out who are the winners in each category and also who is the overall winner in a glittering awards ceremony.


Regardless of whether or not we win an actual award just to be part of this event is not only giving the recognition of the work we do but also the service that we offer couples.

Do you really have Time to Plan a Wedding?

When you first start planning your wedding you may think to yourself this is going to be easy, think again...

On average it takes around 250 hours to plan a wedding, doesn't sound that much does it?  It's a lot more than you think especially when you take in your normal day to day life, not to mention the time you still need to spend with your future spouse.


There are so many things that you need to take care of it not just about booking a venue and off you go and there will be a million things that you won't think of and just as many choices, and it all takes time to organise and you will be surprised by just how time consuming it can all be.

Yeah but I have the weekends I hear you say, for most of us catching up on all the things we can't do during the week.   So time is even more precious.   When people rush their wedding planning they make rash decisions which can end up being costly at the end of the day, something you might like today you might see something better in 3 months time.   I had one client buy her dress on a whim, it cost her over £1000 then a few months later she saw the dress of her dreams and ended up buying that too.   Not only did she more than double her outlay for her dress, she was left with a gown that she couldn't recoup the money back on.   I have had couples book wedding bands and again a while later see someone else they liked better, they lost their deposit on the original band booked.

Scotland Exclusive Wedding Event - Beauty Weddings

Well last weekend was Scotland's Exclusive Wedding Event and the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, and what a weekend that was.   We had so much fun over the weekend meeting brides, grooms, their families and friends, we just wish we had more time to spend with you all.  

We also had our amazing Prize Draw with the First Prize being a Wedding Day Photography by Julie Vance Photography, the winner was Jennifer Wagner.   I found out from Jennifer's lovely fiance that they were just going to get friends to take their photo's as they couldn't really afford a professional.   Well now they don't have to they have Julie to capture the precious moments of their wedding day next May.   So a massive congratulations to Jennifer.

Our Stand was opposite One Fine Day & The Finer Detail who were such a lovely family run business.  Their cakes were gorgeous and their bridesmaids dresses and tiara's were just amazing.   Definitely worth a visit to their website.
